Dublin City Counselling Services (DCCS) is an independent psychological practice providing confidential online counselling and psychotherapy for individuals, professionals and organisations. The practice is led by Ian O’Maonaigh and supported by a trusted network of experienced counsellors, psychotherapists and healthcare professionals.

Who We Work With

DCCS supports individual adults, professionals, organisations, couples and, where appropriate, young people aged 16 and 17.

Young people aged 16 and 17 may be accepted following an individual assessment of suitability, consent and safeguarding arrangements. Where appropriate, an initial parent or guardian consultation may form part of the assessment process.

About the practice

Ian O’Maonaigh and Associates

Ian O’Maonaigh has extensive professional experience across private psychological counselling, workplace mental health, Employee Assistance Programmes and corporate wellbeing, including the provision of counselling to employees across Ireland and the wider EMEA region.

His background also includes work in university settings, GP practices and primary care, as well as social care, addiction, homelessness, residential care, management and service development.

His experience spans direct counselling practice, clinical and operational leadership, programme development and supporting people facing complex psychological, personal, workplace and social difficulties.

DCCS values collaborative working with GPs and other healthcare professionals, with client consent where clinically appropriate.
